We reached 500 Facebook Likes last month!

Social networking is important to our destination beach wedding business because it lets us keep in touch socially and artistically with our brides.  Last month, we were approaching the 500 "Likes" milestone on Facebook, so we had a contest to put us over the top!  We asked all the people that liked us to submit their name for a drawing to win a canvas print from our partner, Smugmug.com - we use Smugmug for our photography delivery and presentation.  Our personal site on Smugmug is www.photos.sunsetbeachwed.com.

Beach Wedding Dress Ideas

The Sunset Beach Weddings brides wear a variety of dress styles, from classical, contemporary, nontraditional, and in all price ranges.  Target stores recently announced that they will be offering wedding dresses at ultra competitive pricing.  What do you think of this trend?  Have you considered Target while dress shopping?  The destination beach wedding is a bit non-traditional compared to a big church wedding, so maybe this is perfect for the vacationing bride on a budget!

Family Photos at the Beach!

Many of the couples that we've married over the years come back to the Emerald Coast beaches each year for family vacation.  We encourage our couples to call us to schedule a family photo session.  We love seeing them again and watching their families grow.  

Just like destination weddings, we cover Mexico Beach, Panama City Beach, Santa Rosa Beach (Beaches of 30a), Miramar Beach, Destin, Okaloosa Island (Ft Walton Beach), Navarre, and Pensacola Beach.

Ring Bearer & Flower Girls 2012

Our favorite moment at any wedding is the bride's entrance. You can hear the guests gasp almost in unison as she appears on the boardwalk. Right before that magical moment, the ring bearer and flower girls make their way down the aisle. Only about half of our couples choose to include children in the processional. Children can be unpredictable at times, but always adorable. Usually, we discourage giving the children the actual rings, have you ever dropped something in sand?! There are a lot of alternatives that make them feel just as included. We are happy to bring rose petals for the flower girls to fill their baskets as well.
